Beyond Nostalgia is a newsletter dedicated to retro-gaming & computing. It offers a mixture of news, views, reviews, features, and whatever gets caught in-between, sort of like Your Sinclair, C+VG, ACE, EGM, and other great magazines from the past.
I’m a CRT TV & monitor fanatic who’s on a mission to preserve the inimitable “CRT look”, and so all the game “screenshots” in this newsletter will come from real CRT sets. Please check out my other CRT-related projects: an image archive and a book imprint.
Originally, I was aiming to post a new issue at least twice a week. But, after the initial period of high activity, I learned that the publishing lark is extremely time-consuming. And since I’m already quite busy with the aforementioned CRT projects, I had to give up on the “frequent” promise. So, Beyond Nostalgia is not being cancelled, or put on hiatus, but it will become “infrequent” for the time being.
Why you shouldn’t subscribe
Huh? What madness is this? Well…it’s not an entirely serious pronouncement, but considering Beyond Nostalgia’s irregular release schedule, it’d be a bit disingenuous to ask for paid subscriptions. But, if you’d like to be notified about future issue releases, just go for the free subscription.
